2026 Hall of Fame Inductees
Richard Lee, Student Athlete, 2007-2008:
Richard Lee is one of Bellevue College's most accomplished golfers, earning NWAC Championship Medalist honors in both 2007 and 2008. Following his standout collegiate career, he continued his success at the University of Washington, where he became a two-time All-American and established himself as one of the nation's top collegiate golfers.
Today, Lee remains deeply involved in the game as a golf broadcaster and analyst for ESPN+ and the Golf Channel, providing expert commentary and insight on PGA Tour events. In addition to his broadcasting work, he is a highly respected coach and mentor, training collegiate golfers and professional players as they pursue success in competitive golf.
Jonathan Humphrie, Student Athlete, 2010-2012:
Jonathan Humphrie was a standout two-sport student-athlete at Bellevue College, excelling in both basketball and baseball from 2010 to 2012. During his tenure, he played a key role in the success of two championship-caliber programs. As a member of the 2011 Bellevue College baseball team, Humphrie helped lead the Bulldogs to an NWAC Championship, while the 2010-11 basketball team captured the North Region title.
Humphrie's exceptional athleticism and versatility were on full display during the 2011-12 academic year, when he earned some of the highest honors in both sports. He was named the North Region Basketball MVP and was also selected to the North Region Baseball First Team, a rare accomplishment that highlighted his impact across multiple athletic programs.
Following his successful career at Bellevue College, Humphrie continued his basketball career at Lewis-Clark State College, where he competed at the collegiate level and further developed his skills as a student-athlete.
Caitlin Storkson, Student Athlete, 2005-2006:
Caitlin Storkson made a lasting impact on Bellevue College Athletics as one of the most accomplished volleyball players in program history. She was a two-time All-American and holds the distinction of being the first All-American in Bellevue College history, setting a standard of excellence for future generations of student-athletes.
During her time at Bellevue College, Storkson earned NWAC All-Star Team honors in both seasons and was instrumental in the success of the Bulldogs volleyball program. Her leadership and outstanding play helped guide Bellevue College to first-place finishes in the North Region in 2005 and 2006, marking the first North Region championships in school history.
Following her successful career at Bellevue College, Storkson continued her collegiate volleyball journey at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, where she competed at the NCAA level and further showcased the skills that made her one of the premier players in the NWAC.
Paul Meehan, Athletics Coach, 1986-1990 and 1992-1996:
Paul Meehan is one of the most successful coaches in Bellevue College men's soccer history, leading the Bulldogs program during two tenures from 1986-1990 and 1992-1996. Under his leadership, Bellevue College established itself as a regional and national powerhouse, highlighted by the program's first NWAC Championship in 1989. Meehan would go on to guide the Bulldogs to three NWAC Championships (1989, 1994, and 1995), building a legacy of excellence that helped shape the foundation of Bellevue College soccer.
Following his success at Bellevue College, Meehan continued a distinguished collegiate coaching career at several four-year institutions, including Corban University, Oregon State University, Marshall University, Fresno State University, Hawaiʻi Pacific University, Stanislaus State University, and Illinois State University, and Gonzaga University.
His tenure at Gonzaga University from 2013 to 2021 was a particularly proud chapter of his coaching career. Serving as an assistant coach from 2013 to 2017 and later as head coach from 2017 to 2021, Meehan played a key role in leading and developing the Bulldogs program while mentoring student-athletes at the NCAA Division I level. His leadership and experience further solidfied his reputation as one of the most respected collegiate soccer coaches.
He currently serves as a coach at Westmont College, where he continues to mentor and develop student-athletes at the collegiate level.
Men's Soccer Team, 1989:
The 1989 Bellevue College Men's Soccer Team secured a place in program history by capturing the school's fifth NWAC Men's Soccer Championship, a milestone that helped establish Bellevue College as one of the premier soccer programs in the Northwest. Under the leadership of Head Coach Paul Meehan, the Bulldogs compiled an outstanding 12-3-1 regular-season record, demonstrating consistency, skill, and determination throughout the year.
The season culminated in a championship showdown against North Region rival Skagit Valley College, where Bellevue delivered a memorable performance to claim the NWAC Championship title. The victory marked the first of three NWAC championships won under Meehan's leadership and laid the foundation for the continued success of Bellevue College men's soccer in the years that followed.
Women's Golf Team, 2012:
The 2012 Bellevue College Women's Golf Team achieved a historic milestone by capturing the first NWAC Women's Golf Championship in Bellevue College history. Building on the momentum of a strong 2011 season in which the Bulldogs finished as runners-up, the team demonstrated exceptional determination, talent, and teamwork to reach the top of the conference and secure the championship title.
A key contributor to the team's success was Katya Case, who earned Medalist honors at the 2012 NWAC Championships, finishing as the tournament's top individual golfer. Her outstanding performance helped lead Bellevue College to a memorable and groundbreaking championship victory.
Men's Cross Country Team, 1980:
The 1980 Bellevue College Men's Cross Country Team stands as one of the most dominant teams in the history of Bellevue College Athletics. Displaying remarkable depth, talent, and consistency, the Bulldogs went undefeated against both four-year universities and community colleges throughout the season, establishing themselves as one of the premier cross country teams in the nation.
A defining moment of the season came when Bellevue's top four runners finished in a tie for first place, leading the team to an extraordinary score of just 17 points. Their collective performance set them apart from their competitors and showcased the exceptional caliber of the program.
The Bulldogs' historic season culminated in being recognized as the 1980 Junior National Champions, cementing their place among the elite teams in collegiate cross country. Their achievements were so significant that the squad was later recognized as the best community college cross country team in conference history, an honor that reflects the lasting impact of their success.
