Overview:
This spring, the Bellevue College Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) and QTPOC Conference Advisory Committee will host a Queer & Trans People of Color (QTPOC) conference for faculty and staff working in Higher Education. The two-day conference will cover topics on the theme of:
“_____ is resistance!”
Session topics:
Session topics will center on the ways in which Queer and Trans people of color can have an impact on, and are impacted by, the current social and political climate, as a result of the unique experiences that come with holding such intersecting identities. We aim to highlight the many ways QTPOC show up in all spaces to push back against oppression with love, education, and community care.
